Entre Chien et Loup
£3.60
The delightful French expression “entre chien et loup” describes so aptly that magical twilight time of day when the light is so deceptive that it becomes difficult to distinguish between a dog and a wolf; to tell whether it’s your
friend or your foe approaching; or to be certain whether it’s the known or the unknown that awaits you on the path ahead.
It means “the gloaming”, the threshold between hope and fear, nightfall, dusk – all of which sound so much nicer than “It’s nearly tea time, have you done your homework yet?” Take care, it’s beginning to get a bit dimpsey.
